International students who hold a valid study permit and have completed a program of study that is more than 8 months in length at an eligible Designated Learning Institution (DLI) may be eligible to apply for the Post-Graduation Work Permit, allowing them to work and remain in Canada temporarily. This session will offer students the opportunity to learn about what documents are needed, as well as work on their applications in real time. This session will be held in the Education Building, room 561, and will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m.
Session Pre-Work This session requires all attendees to have an active GCKey account through IRCC. Click here to create a GCKey account if you do not already have one.
All registrants will be provided with a list of documents to prepare and are asked to compile these documents in advance of the session. Registrants must have access to electronic copies of these documents as they are required for the application. The application form used by IRCC requires the use of Adobe Acrobat Reader, version 10 or higher. As computer stations will not be available at the workshop, please bring your own device and ensure you have downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader. Important Notice This session is offered to provide a general overview of the application process and how to complete the application forms. It is not legal advice. Students with in-depth questions or complex applications should seek direct consultation with a team member.
