Engineering Lab Mentorships

Explore engineering through hands-on lab mentorships designed for high school students who love building, designing, and problem-solving. Engineering blends creativity with STEM to solve real-world challenges—and this is your chance to experience it firsthand. The Faculty of Engineering is offering free, 3-week lab mentorships where you’ll work on real engineering projects using the same labs and equipment as U of R engineering students, with guidance from friendly lab instructors and student mentors. You’ll build practical skills, boost your confidence, and strengthen your résumé while meeting new people in a welcoming environment.
